USA Founding Fathers – ShoutOut Game Contest

USA Founding Fathers ShoutOut(tm) is a AA Puzzle Game where the category is Founding Fathers.

This year, America turns 250 on July 4th. Our FF ShoutOut celebrates this event with a unique activity and a unique reward (in addition to cash prizes).

After the Contest, there will be a ‘Spirit of 1776’ Toast to America’s Founding Fathers at participating bars and restaurants. Contest winners get a free drink for that toast, choosing among the type of drinks that Founding Fathers may have imbibbed (beer, applejack, rum) as well as bourbon (an American innovation that came a few years after 1776). There will also be nonalcholic options. 

To play the game, you will need smart glasses (preferred) or a smart phone.

Recommended: make yourself easy to spot with colonial garb or a colonial hat (hats available from AA!) 

In AA ShoutOut(tm) Games, players attempt to decifer which person or thing they “are” in the game category. Players do this by discovering how other players perceive them. Other players convey this perception by flashing QR Codes.

Players can read a QR code only once and a player can not read more than two QR codes in the same general location. As a result, players must keep moving as they search for other players.

Perceptions will vary in relevance and accuracy. Each player assesses the set of perceptions as they determine what Founding Father has been assigned to them. When they are confident that they have determined who they are, they shout their name. An example: “I’m George Washington!”

Players can only shout the name of a Founding Father ONE TIME. This is to prevent repeated guesses. So be as sure as you can be before shouting a name!

Players who correctly determine who they are, win a cash prize and get a free drink for the Spirit of 1776 Toast(tm).

The amount of the cash prize awarded to a player depends greatly on how quickly a player determines who they are. The first players to shout out who they are get a higher prize amount, while the last players will get only a drink for the Toast.

When a player is confident that they have collected enough information to determine their person, they Shout Out the name. For example: “I’m Winston Churchill!”

For 2026, AA’s Founding Fathers Puzzle Contest will be held in 20 US Cities. This is to ensure that players have
